Calgary North Veterinary Hospital announces support for Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) to support the Milk River dog recovery project
Calgary North Veterinary Hospital to donate $10 000 in medical services and over 700lbs of food to Alberta Animal Rescue Crew’s rehabilitation project for the Milk River Dog recovery.
Calgary, Alberta February 5, 2015
After news broke about the rescue of over 200 dogs from Milk River, Calgary North Veterinary Hospital staff have arranged $10 000 in veterinary services and over 700lbs of therapeutic dog food to assist with their recovery.
Inspired by the Pet Pantry initiative and a yearlong campaign to help pets in need through the Paw It Forward campaign, Calgary North staff believe this is one step in helping animals who are unable to help themselves.
“We believe these animals have been through more than any animal should ever experience and we want to do our part to help make their recoveries as quick as possible” says Mark Hilborn, General Manager of Calgary North Veterinary Hospital.
Staff and volunteers will be delivering the food to AARC’s facility located 3851-21 Street NE, Calgary at 1pm Friday February 6 and will be supporting the Crew as necessary in the coming weeks and months to ensure these dogs recover and hopefully find their forever home.
