Colleen T., Registered Veterinary Technologist
Colleen is one of our fantastic Registered Veterinary Technologists and Team Lead. Colleen is a born and raised Calgarian. She lived in Lethbridge, AB for 8 years while attending post secondary, and then moved back to her home roots of Calgary.
Colleen attended the University of Lethbridge and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dramatic Arts. After this adventure, Colleen decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and graduated in 2017 from Olds College with a diploma in Animal Health Technology (with honors). One of the best decision's she ever made!
Colleen shares her home with her partner Adam, three adopted pets; a spunky black cat named Gizmo, a purr machine of a grey tabby named Theodore and the sweetest Lab Mix named Eartha.
Outside of work, Colleen has varied interests, including hoop dancing, playing with different circus props, fire eating on the odd occasion, playing Dungeons & Dragons, reading in the sun and hanging out with friends and family. Colleen also has a lifelong passion for anything unicorn related.
Within veterinary medicine, Colleen has a few different interests. She loves dentistry, blood collection and nutrition. She hopes to one day obtain her specialty in nutrition.
When asked what her favorite part of working at the clinic was, she said it was the amazing team she works with. She loves that she gets to laugh and smile at work every single day. . She also loves the relationships she is building with all of our amazing clients and their incredible pets.
Her superpower at the clinic is that she doesn't lose her temper easily and holds a positive outlook even in stressful situations! She also helps out with a lot of behind the scenes activities which ensure the clinic runs smoothly. Medically, her superpower would be blood collection and dental radiographs.
