Dan Thompson, Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Dan Thompson Graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (Saskatoon) with his wife, Dr. Trudi Roberts, in 1982. His first job was in the North Central town of Chetwynd where he provided large animal services to much of the beautiful farmland to be covered by the Site C dam. From 1984 until 1993 he was the managing partner in a busy 7 doctor mixed animal practice in Prince George. Aging parents retired to Victoria and the Drs. followed in 1993 were they purchased the Lakehill Pet Clinic as part of the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital (CVVH) group of practices. Dr. Thompson served as President of CVVH until its sale to VCA in 2008. His interests in small animal Orthopedics and Oncology continued until CVVH brought in specialists several years later.

2018 begins the next chapter as the Lakehill clinic has closed to combine with the brand new full service Feltham Animal Hospital. Dr. Thompson looks forward to continuing general small animal medicine and surgery in this wonderful new facility.

Two adult sons still in Victoria and a couple of rescued house cats round out the current family

In his spare time, Dr. Thompson seeks out world class continuing education in areas that provide road cycling opportunities. Paris, Bordeaux, Vienna, Prague, Hawaii, Zion and Moab to name a few. His other passion is building small wooden boats and getting together with other old guys to talk about them and tell tall tales.
