Your Next In-Hospital Visit

 

Your next visit to our hospital will look different as our protocols continue to evolve. As we begin opening up for in-hospital appointments, we have implemented protocols to ensure the safest experience possible for you and your pet. Some of our protocols may include:

  • Masks: We ask that all clients wear a mask while in our hospitals, including retail and prescription pick up. If you do not have a mask, please let our team know, and we will provide you with one.

  • Hand Sanitization: Hand sanitizer stations will be placed throughout our hospital to ensure there are ample opportunities to clean your hands. Please sanitize your hands upon entry, after touching high-contact surfaces, and as you exit the hospital.

  • Limiting Clients in Hospital: To maintain safe physical distancing, we will be limiting the number of clients we allow in our hospital. The number of clients will vary by hospital. Please follow posted protocols at the hospital.

  • Physical Distancing: We have floor stickers placed around our hospital to help you find the safest place to stand/wait. We have also installed plexiglass barriers as added protection when interacting with our teams.

  • Enhanced Cleaning: Our hospitals follow the highest standards for cleaning. All hospitals have an antimicrobial resistance protocol to ensure that surfaces are clean for clients and patients. We have expanded that cleaning protocol to client areas, high contact surfaces, counters and retail areas.

  • Health Screening Measures: Our team may ask you screening questions, take your temperature, and ask you to wear a mask before entering the hospital. Please do not visit our hospital if you are sick (including allergies). We have Virtual Care options available for a contactless experience.

  • Virtual Care: Our hospitals now offer Virtual Care so you can see your veterinarian from the comfort of your home. Please contact your hospital to learn about the Virtual Care options they offer.

  • Instant Live Chat: All clients can access 24/7 live chat with a veterinary professional using the myVCA app. 

  • Contactless Appointments: If you're not comfortable coming inside the hospital, we will continue to offer a contactless experience. Just ask about our contactless options when booking your appointment.

  • Contactless Pick Up: Ask your hospital what options are available for contactless pick up of prescriptions and medications.

  • Phone Ordering: Need to pick up or refill a prescription? You can now order your medications over the phone for pick up or have them delivered to your door!
