Stephanie Ng, Medical Director

DVM

Dr. Stephanie Ng has always wanted to be a veterinarian and started working at a veterinary clinic in Cambridge at the age of 14. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph in 2000. Dr. Ng joined Askey Animal Hospital after receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, with distinction in 2003 from the Ontario Veterinary College. She believes in lifelong learning, completing the Canine Osteoarthritis Case Manager Certificate Program in 2020 and is currently pursuing her Fear Free Veterinary Certification.

Dr. Ng enjoys the variety that GP practice offers. She feels privileged to have cared for many of the hospital's patients from kitten or puppyhood into their senior years. Having had a senior German shepherd and currently a 19-year-old tabby cat, she has a passion for helping senior pets live their best lives. More recently she adopted a young mischievous northern Manitoba mutt named Hudson. Hudson has just started agility training, and is working towards his trick dog title. He hopes to be a therapy dog one day.

When not at the clinic, Dr. Ng enjoys combining travel with hiking, making and eating good food, as well as game nights with co-workers. Before Hudson took over her life, her hobbies included amigurumi (crocheting tiny animals) and horseback riding.
