Louise Lam, Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Louise grew up in Mississauga, Ontario with her family. She moved with her mom, dad, and brother to Hong Kong (SAR) for almost a decade before returning to Canada to complete her education. Dr. Louise attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She proceeded to complete a Master of Science in Veterinary Sciences at the University of Calgary where she fell in love with the city of Calgary and the Rocky Mountains.

In 2018, Dr. Louise earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) in Guelph, Ontario and completed a one-year small animal emergency & critical care (ERCC) internship in Vancouver, BC. Dr. Louise’s professional interests are in small animal and exotic emergency critical care and internal medicine. She is also interested in biological research and wildlife conservation.

When she is not practicing “floof medicine” (as her beloved friends call it), Dr. Louise enjoys music (particularly singing and the piano), perfecting her recipes in the kitchen, and travelling. Dr. Louise speaks English, Cantonese, basic Mandarin, and hopes to learn many more languages one day. Dr. Louise fostered a blood donor cat and an orange female kitty during veterinary school, and hopes to one day have a “floof” of her own.
