Dr. Blessing graduated from WCVM in Saskatoon, SK in 1995. She worked in mixed animal practice in Ponoka for 12 years, focusing mainly on dogs, cats, and llamas. She started working at Animal Clinic West in December 2010. In 2011-2012 Dr. Blessing completed the IVAS acupuncture course with certification pending. Dr. Blessing is also a certified VNA chiropractitioner, has been trained in cold laser therapy, and is currently completing certification in Chinese herbal therapy.

Professionally she has a strong interest in nutrition, particularly in formulating and balancing raw and home cooked diets, especially for skin disease, autoimmune and gastrointestinal conditions, and cancer.

Dr. Blessing lives in NW Calgary with 2 daughters, Emily and Monique, her golden retriever “Candy” and an adorable geriatric kitty cat, “Winter”.

Her hobbies include Shotokan karate, hot yoga, cooking, reading, and exploring essential oils.
