Laurie Pearlstein, Veterinarian

DVM, CCRT, CVA, CVAT

Dr. Laurie Pearlstein was born in Washington, D.C., has since lived and worked all over the United States, and (happily) now makes the Vancouver area home.

Dr. Laurie received her DVM from Kansas State College of Veterinary medicine. While working, she then pursued additional training and qualifications from Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, Chi Institute and Canine Rehabilitation Institute.

From this she has many years of clinical experience in general, emergency and specialty practice, including animal physical rehabilitation, and integrative medicine, including acupuncture/TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine).

She is fascinated and constantly delighted by the different yet complementary aspects of Eastern and Western medicine. Both with solid science behind them, she is grateful to have so many various aspects of training and experience to use in a practical and creative way to help care for and treat patients. Patients are not 'one size fits all', and there is a whole body to treat.

She brings a practical approach to clients to sort through what can often feel complicated and overwhelming. The goal to help owners understand the problem as well as the options of how best to proceed to resolve or manage that condition.

“Our animal friends give us so much, it is a such a privilege and a pleasure to be able to help them to feel and function their best”
