Dr. Beck's affection and empathy for animals started at a young age, and she embraced this passion throughout her life. As a young girl, she aspired to become a classical pianist and earned her ARCT performer's diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Her interests then shifted to science and medicine, leading her to study Health Studies at University of Waterloo. While contemplating her career options one summer, she decided to work at a veterinary clinic. And she immediately knew this was it. Determined to become a veterinarian, she moved abroad to attend St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of Grenada. It was here that she also met her future husband, Dr. Trent. Dr. Beck will never forget the stunning cobalt blue oceanview while studying for her exams. Dr. Beck and Dr. Trent continued their clinical training at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Dr. Beck graduated summa cum laude, and since then has practiced in various parts of New York, and also in DFW Texas, where Dr. Trent was born and raised.

Over the years of practice, Dr. Beck learned the great importance of preventative medicine. Utilizing the latest evidence-based practices in the field, she strives to enhance the quality of life for our canine and feline companions.

In her spare time, Dr. Beck is a busy mom to two young children and three elderly dogs. Dr. Trent and Dr. Beck can't wait to experience the best of Calgary with their family.
