Jodi Thompson, Veterinarian
Dr. Jodi Thompson graduated from OVC (Ontario Veterinary College), in 2005 and started her career at a fast-paced veterinary emergency clinic in Burlington, Ontario. After getting the training of advanced veterinary medicine first hand, and a tremendous amount of experience under her belt, she left emergency medicine to focus on regular small animal medicine and began working at a clinic in Hagersville, Ontario. Originally from near North Bay, Dr. Thompson decided she wanted to move back north and find a practice of her own. Although not quite as north as North Bay, Dr. Thompson stumbled upon Jackson Creek Veterinary Services and bought the practice in March 2011.
Her history in emergency medicine has given her a keen interest in exciting and challenging medical cases, as well as surgery. Being a practice owner, her goal for the clinic is to make sure patients are well looked after by everyone from the front desk staff and technicians as well as our kennel and grooming staff. Not only is creating the human/animal bond a special interest to her, but keeping clients educated and well informed with their pets health needs is just as important as keeping the animals happy and healthy.
