Karen Lodge, Veterinarian
Dr Karen Lodge has been with the VCA Canada team since 2011, working at Shawnessy for 11 years, and now at Landing. She grew up in Sudbury Ontario before moving to Port Moody BC to complete her studies. Karen received her Bachelor of Science with specialization in Biochemistry from the U of A in Edmonton, and her DVM from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon.
Her love for animals and compassion and concern for their well being started at a young age, and was fueled by her beloved family Spaniel Bailey, who knew pretty much every trick in the book!
Karen has special interests in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery, and is passionate about fostering the human - animal bond.
Karen and her husband share their home with 2 young kids, 3 cats and a dog. In her spare time, she volunteers for the ABVMA, ASNTF, AARCS and CHS. She enjoys hiking, biking, snowshoeing and travelling, as well as cuddling up with her pets for a good book.
