Jaclyn Wilkes, Veterinarian
Dr. Wilkes grew up in Toronto and has been living in Waterloo Region since 2011. From a young age, she loved to work with animals; from volunteering at the Toronto Wildlife Centre and Safari Zoo Camp, to working after school at a local veterinary clinic as an assistant.
Dr. Wilkes attended the University of Guelph for Biomedical Sciences, and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2012. Earlier in her career, she had the opportunity to provide veterinary services to the local humane society and numerous rescue agencies. She found it very rewarding to be able to help so many animals in need. Most recently, she has been working at a small animal practice in Mississauga, providing high quality, compassionate veterinary care. After the birth of her daughter, she was excited to get the opportunity to transfer to a clinic closer to home and join the Lexington family.
Dr. Wilkes’ professional interests include surgery, dentistry, preventive medicine, and dermatology. She is passionate about learning new skills, surgeries and keeping up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their young daughter, and their rescue Havanese mix, Finley. She also enjoys cooking, baking, reading, listening to podcasts, and travelling.
