Aleksandra Gordziejuk-Tanyi, Veterinarian
Dr. Tanyi graduated from the Warsaw Agricultural University in 2001. She was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland and moved to Canada shortly after graduating. Upon coming to Canada, Dr. Tanyi volunteered at the Calgary North Veterinary Hospital and Care Centre, before hired as their emergency veterinarian. In August 2008, she decided to move to general practice and joined the Horizon Veterinary Team at the Marlborough Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Tanyi cares deeply about all her patients and clients and is always looking for ways to facilitate the best care possible.
Maximus Prime (aka Max) is a rescue cat that joined Dr. Tanyi, her husband, and two beautiful children in 2011. He hit the jackpot when he found this family, as he now get to enjoy numerous belly rubs, cuddling and on those cold winter days – sits and soaks up the warmth on the heat registers. How can it get any better than that!
Dr. Tanyi loves to spend time with her family enjoying many sports including swimming and snowboarding. She also enjoys dancing and travelling and has been to many areas in Western and Eastern Europe
