Destiny Locking, Veterinarian
She was raised in Bethel, in rural Port Colborne, and is a graduate of Lakeshore Catholic High School and the Ontario Science Centre Science School
She was destined for a career in veterinary medicine when she tried to resuscitate a frog on the side of the road at the age of 4. Destiny has always exhibited a passion for animals and medicine and thrives on the challenge of educating owners on what is the best for their furry friends.
Destiny obtained the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College-University of Guelph in 2003. She practiced small animal medicine in St. Catharines for the past 14 years. She is excited to start a new adventure in her hometown and loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in internal medicine, senior wellness, dermatology and soft tissue surgery. Her goal is always to go above and beyond to provide the best care for her patients and clients, to ultimately strengthen the “human-animal” bond.
Destiny is married to her “high school sweetheart”, Den. They reside in Fonthill with their son, Hunter. Bea and Molly are the Boston Terriers that complete their family, and can often be found on the back of Destiny’s tricycle during family bike rides.
