Ian Sandler, Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Ian Sandler graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1994. After graduation, Ian practiced as a veterinarian for one year at a busy 24-hour small animal hospital in Detroit, Michigan. In 1995, Ian returned to Toronto and joined the Secord Animal Hospital as an associate. He joined the Rosedale Animal Hospital in 2000, and has help the Rosedale Animal Hospital grow and continuously strive for perfection ever since.

Ian’s special interests in veterinary medicine include oncology and internal medicine. As well, he has served with several veterinary organizations:
1. Participated as a panel member at the Merial Conference on Vaccine Associated Feline Sarcomas held in Toronto in February 2002
2. Elected as President of the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine in 1997
3. Past Chairperson for the Toronto Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind
4. Served as a member of the Records Accreditation Committee of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario
5. Currently serves on the executive board of Pet Trust, which is the research and fundraising arm of the Ontario Veterinary College

Ian appeared on CTV’s Canada AM and Balance Television as the animal expert, and has written articles for many publications including Dog Sport magazine, Maclean’s, Readers digest, and City Dog Magazine.
