Marina Matthies, Veterinarian
Dr. Marina Matthies grew up in Calgary, obtaining her bachelor of science at the University of Calgary before being accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 2016. Following graduation in 2020, she returned to Calgary to work in a busy general practice. In 2021, she pursued a career with the BC SPCA, supporting their efforts for a year prior to moving to the Okanagan.
Dr. Matthies moved to Lake Country with her family, including her dog "Chester", in January of 2023 and joined the ER department at Tri Lake shortly after. In her spare time, she enjoys mountain biking, backcountry camping, hiking, spending time at the lake and skiing during the winter months.
