Breanna Clooney, Medical Director
Dr. Clooney was raised in North Saanich, BC. She grew up riding horses and was surrounded by pets, which fostered her love for veterinary medicine. Dr. Clooney attended St Matthews University of Veterinary Medicine in the Cayman Islands, and completed her clinical year at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan. After graduation, she moved to Esterhazy, Saskatchewan to work at a mixed animal practice. In 2021, Dr. Clooney began to miss the beautiful west coast of BC, and decided to move back to North Saanich to join the VCA team.
Dr. Clooney loves to travel, and has incorporated her love of animals into many of her adventures. She has been to Australia to work at a wildlife rehabilitation center, Mongolia to assist in research on their wild horses, and Honduras to perform a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. She also has a love for volunteering and giving back to the community. You can find her frequently volunteering with Vets for Pets, community events and the Canadian Animal Assistance Team.
