Dr. Sarah grew up in Northumberland county in England, on a farm with all sorts of animals! Ponies, hunting dogs, rabbits, bottle fed lambs, cats and even a goldfish! When she was young, her family moved to a farm in Eastern Canada and Dr. Sarah was heavily involved in the 4H Beef club and Horse Club. As you might guess, it was a natural career choice for her to move into veterinary medicine.

Dr. Sarah graduated from the prestigious Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon and has continued with providing animals with tender loving care ever since!

Sarah shares her home with a lovely English Cocker Spaniel named Elvis. She also has two cats at home, a handsome chocolate oriental shorthair named Cairo who is known for being a bit of a chatterbox, and a beautiful kitty named Scarlett with stunning blue eyes. Dr. Sarah enjoys a fulfilling life balancing her career and family. In her free time, she cherishes spending time with her husband and her two incredible children, Olivia and Geoff , who bring her endless joy and inspiration.

When asked what her favorite part of working with the Dalhousie Varsity Team was, Dr. Sarah said she loves everything really, she is very privileged to work with the team she does. She loves meeting new clients and reuniting with longtime clients along with their beloved family members.

Dr. Sarah’s veterinary superpower is her surgical knowledge, she is a wonderful resource for our veterinary team to consult with on more complex surgical cases and her storytelling skills! She always has a story to share with our team!
