Heather Sweet, Hospital Manager
Heather is a passionate advocate for quality medicine and a dedicated professional in the veterinary industry. Since 2011, Heather has been working as a Registered Veterinary Technician with VCA, building on her earlier experience as a veterinary assistant. Her journey has been one of continuous growth and commitment to the well-being of animals.
In 2021, Heather started managing Highlands Animal Hospital, and in 2023 added the Lynn Valley Animal Hospital alongside it. Her favorite part of this role in both clinics is training and coaching her team members, and urging them to uphold the same core values of compassion and treating each and every pet as if it was a family member. As a technician, she loves dentistry, and finds cleaning the grossest mouths the most satisfying.
An avid adopter of the oldest/sickest/those missing the most limbs pets at the shelter, in her off time you can find Heather doing some form of art or craft, with her senior buddies beside her.
