Jamie Wintemute, Medical Director
Originally from the Yukon, Jamie Wintemute grew up surrounded by the natural beauty and wildlife that would spark her lifelong passion for animals. In 2014, she relocated to Nanaimo, British Columbia, where she began her career as a veterinarian. Since then, she has built a reputation for compassionate, thorough care and a calm, practical approach to veterinary medicine.
Jamie shares her home (and most of her free time), with two beloved dogs, Summit and McKinley, who are always up for a walk, a hike or a campsite adventure. She’s also the proud mom of two sons, Philip and Henry, who keep life lively and full of laughter.
Outside the clinic, Jamie enjoys exploring the outdoors, camping under the stars, and traveling whenever the opportunity arises. Whether she’s treating the patient, planning her next road trip, or navigating the joyful chaos of parenthood, Jamie brings the grounded thoughtful energy to everything she does.
