Sharon Saxon-Buri, Veterinarian
Dr. Sharon Saxon-Buri is a Port Colborne native and a graduate of Lakeshore Catholic High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from the University of Guelph and then completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Western Ontario. She enjoyed teaching high school Science, Math and Chemistry for a few years but returned to Guelph to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian, graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2003.
Sharon has had the privilege to work and learn with several great veterinary teams throughout the Niagara Region since that time. She enjoys surgery, ophthalmology, dentistry and emergency care and is committed to ongoing continuing education. She shares her home with two active and mischievous black cats “Habs” and “Genius” as well as a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named “Blue”. In her spare time, Dr. Saxon-Buri loves running, reading and camping with her husband Amedeo and two children. Her family will often share memories of the late, great, feisty but lovable, grey cat “Primo”.
