Alice Liboiron, Veterinarian
She was a member of the Wilderness and Exotic Animal Medicine Society at the WCVM, and spent time researching parasites and the pathology they cause in domestic animals, leading her to spend a summer doing fieldwork on Sable Island where she was able to meet the elusive Ipswich Sparrow, and completed externships focused on zoo and exotic medicine.
Dr. Liboiron recently relocated to Calgary after practicing in Edmonton with companion exotic animals and is pleased to return to practice in her own backyard.
She is fascinated with the close ties humans have with their parrots and songbirds, and how the bond can be enhanced through improved husbandry and enrichment. She also enjoys customizing pain control and health management plans for elderly cats and dogs, as she hopes to help pet owners manage the conditions affecting our pets in later life. She has two soft and snuggly cats (Newt and Bunny). She loves to hike and bike in the mountains and is an experienced Pole Fitness enthusiast.
