Martin Lovo, Veterinarian
Dr. Lovo grew up in Saskatchewan and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. He worked with Horizon Veterinary Group as an Associate Veterinarian until 1999 and then joined the Horizon Veterinary Group as a partner. His outgoing and charismatic personality is greatly appreciated by the clients, and he spends lots of time on client education – especially on puppy and kitten talks.
During his spare time, you can find Dr. Lovo circling the aisles of Canadian Tire. The team at McKenzie know to not steal his weekly Canadian Tire flyer – but for a little fun – we do it anyway! When he is able to get away on vacation, he travels to Saskatchewan with his family where they enjoy fishing, camping, and hiking. Kola, his Icelandic sheep dog, is a great protector and joy for the family, and jumps to the opportunity to be Dr. Lovo’s bear protection when fly fishing. Those bears may look cute and cuddly, but watch out when you are in their territory! Dr. Lovo loves the outdoors and has quite a green thumb – growing herbs, tomatoes and anything else that may catch his interest.
