Dr. Meagan graduated with honors from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2014 after completing her undergraduate degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph. She joined the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital as an emergency veterinarian that same year. In addition to her skills in surgery and emergency medicine, she has several years of experience in general practice as well as being the medical director of the City of Ottawa’s Spay/Neuter Clinic.
Dr. Meagan says “I love emergency medicine and getting my hands dirty doing procedures such as surgery and dentistry. The best parts of my job are the people I work with every day, getting to be a part of my patients and their families lives, and knowing that I am making a difference.”
Meagan grew up in the Ottawa Valley and now lives on a hobby farm in the beautiful Lanark Highlands with her husband Tim, sons Zach and Levi, her “Golden Bernese” dog Remy, Bob the cat, several laying hens and a goose. She enjoys gardening, snowmobiling, fishing and spending time outdoors with her family.
