The radiology department at 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Centre has a dedicated registered veterinary technician (RVT) who is able to take and assist with your pet's x-ray or CT scan. We are able to perform digital imaging on pets of all sizes, from canines and felines to exotic and pocket pets, including birds, reptiles, rabbits and other small mammals.

Our hospital uses digital x-ray to ensure our veterinarians have quick access to your pet's diagnostics. This digital imaging allows them to provide care quickly and efficiently. In addition to our digital x-ray, we also have a 64-slice Aquilion ONE computed tomography (CT scan). The CT scan allows us to create a cross-section of your pet. This cross-section provides our doctors with detailed information about your pet to help with surgical planning, cancer staging, and rule out a diagnosis.

Using the latest technology, we are able to provide hands-free radiology to ensure that we get the best image possible while limiting exposure to radiation. We use a combination of straps, wedges, and sandbags to position your pet perfectly. We use medications, anesthesia or sedation to help reduce your pet's stress, relieve pain, and ensure your pet can stay in the perfect position while getting their CT scan or x-ray.
