Dr. Winnie Yuen has always had a love for animals. One of her fondest childhood memories is the adoption of a pug puppy. The pug fostered her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Since her teenage years, she has gained experience from volunteering and working at emergency, referral, and general practices for dogs and cats. Upon completing high school, Winnie went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Guelph. Winnie’s journey continued when she flew across the world to study veterinary medicine at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Upon graduation in 2011, Winnie has moved back to Toronto and has been working in Toronto and Mississauga ever since.
She is a veterinarian that enjoys focusing on the pleasure of companionship and also on the health and well-being of animals. Being a pet owner herself, she has an excellent understanding of the stress related to being a great pet parent. Winnie has a passion for integrative/alternative medicine, preventative care, and client education. In 2014, she completed the Veterinary Acupuncture course at the Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine School in Florida. Furthermore, she is excited to continue her education in the fields of herbal medicine and food therapy. Winnie is married to Dr. Augustin Leung and they a daughter.
