Dr. Bruna Hech obtained her veterinary degree from Federal University of Parana in Brazil, where she also completed a two-year anesthesia & analgesia residency program. In 2020, she moved to Canada to pursue a small animal rotating internship at the University of Saskatchewan. She continued her training there, completing a residency in analgesia & anesthesia along with a Master of Science focused on clinical research in pain management. Dr. Hech is currently board-eligible with the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia & Analgesia (ACVAA) and is awaiting the results of her board certification.
Dr. Hech is passionate about the diversity and complexity of anesthesia, with a strong interest in pain management, patient care, critical care anesthesia cases, and locoregional techniques. Her clinical practice is guided by a commitment to patient comfort, safety, and individualized care.
Outside work, Dr. Hech also enjoys reading non-medical books, exploring local coffee shops, and taking long walks with her two dogs, Ziggy and Kona.
