Dr. Joffe graduated in 1985 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He became the first practicing small animal specialist in Alberta in 1992. Dr. Joffe has been a past president of the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association as well as a past president of the Canadian Academy of Veterinary Dermatology. He presents over 150 hours of continuing education annually both nationally and internationally. He has published 14 scientific papers in the peer reviewed veterinary literature.

Dr. Joffe has been with the CARE Centre since it opened in 2006 and was the Medical Director of the facility from 2006-Spring 2020. He is currently the Vice President of Medical Operations with VCA Canada.
