Hospital Manager
Katy has been the Hospital Manager at Cats Only Veterinary Clinic since 2025, bringing with her nearly 10 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician. Her background spans general practice, emergency medicine, specialty hospitals, and animal welfare, giving her a well-rounded approach to both patient care and client experience.
Originally from Ireland, Katy began her veterinary career in a mixed animal practice before moving to Australia, where she worked in emergency and specialty hospitals as well as shelter medicine. During her time there, she also had the unique opportunity to work with native wildlife, including kangaroos, wombats, possums, and a variety of bird species. After relocating to Canada, she continued growing her career in veterinary medicine at hospitals across Vancouver before stepping into her leadership role at Cats Only.
As a passionate advocate for feline medicine, Katy is dedicated to creating a calm, compassionate, and low-stress environment for both cats and their owners. She believes that exceptional veterinary care goes beyond medicine alone and values building strong, trusting relationships with clients to ensure they feel informed, supported, and comfortable throughout every stage of their pet’s care.
Outside of the clinic, Katy enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. Whether she’s running, hiking, skiing, cycling, or practicing yoga, she loves taking advantage of the BC lifestyle.
