Dr. Wilma deGraaf was born and raised in Toronto. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1987, Dr. deGraaf worked at a mixed practice in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. She returned home two years later and has since practiced as a locum veterinarian all over Ontario, and as an associate veterinarian in small animal practices in Newmarket and Thornhill. She first joined the Secord Animal Hospital team in January 2009.
Dr. deGraaf’s professional interests include medicine, ophthalmology, anaesthesia and pain control.
Outside of veterinary medicine she enjoys canoeing, kayaking, sailing, bicycling, music, reading, and cooking. Wilma has also admitted to being a closet opera fan and serious Scrabble player.
