René is originally from South Africa, where she had a career in financial editing. Upon moving to Canada she jumped at the chance to start a new career in the veterinary field. She started her VCA journey as a client service representative at Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre. From there she moved to the ophthalmology team, where she assisted Dr Jacqueline Pearce. In 2020, she took on the challenge of inventory manager, where she built strong relationships with suppliers and other VCA hospitals. René also sits on the AVP practice management advisory committee.
Administration
The hospital Administration team consists of management personnel who oversee all staff members, hospital activities and the facilities. Together, they keep the hospital running smoothly, ensuring quality patient care and excellent client service.
