Taylor Smith, Edmonton Medical Director
Dr. Taylor is from the Edmonton area and has been an animal-lover from as far back as she can remember. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta in 2006, specializing in Evolutionary Biology. Over the following years, Dr. Taylor spent time working and volunteering in many different animal-related capacities; in small-animal clinics in the city of Edmonton, at the Valley Zoo, on a wildlife conservancy in South Africa, in a swine barn in Iowa, to name a few.
Dr. Taylor entered the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the University of Calgary as part of its inaugural class in 2008. During the following years, Dr. Taylor developed her love of working with equine patients and completed an equine internship following veterinary school. Her practice has since then been comprised of both equine and small animal patients.
Dr. Taylor is very excited to share that as of 2021 she has completed her training in medical acupuncture for veterinarians and will now be able to offer acupuncture and myofascial therapy to her patients.
