Sarah Boston, Surgical Oncology


Dr. Boston is a graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating internship and combined small animal surgical residency/DVSc at the University of Guelph and a postdoctoral fellowship in surgical oncology at Colorado State University. Dr Boston is an ACVS Founding Fellow of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Boston has experience in general practice as well as surgical referral practice and academia. She was an Associate Professor of Small Animal Surgery at Guelph for five years and joined the oncology team at the University of Florida as an Associate Professor in the fall of 2012. Dr. Boston was also the past president of the Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology. Not only is Dr. Boston an accomplished surgical oncologist but she is also a published author and cancer survivor. Her first book Lucky Dog: How Being a Veterinarian Saved my Life, was published by the House of Anansi Press in 2014. Sarah is very excited to be heading home to Canada and reconnecting with her Canadian colleagues and to be joining the VCA Canada family here at 404!
