Dr. Kimberly Ho graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph Ontario. Following her DVM training, she pursued a 1 year rotating internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI. She returned to the Ontario Veterinary College to complete a 3 year residency in Internal Medicine concurrently with a Doctor of Veterinary Science degree where she defended her thesis looking at the effect of anti-coagulant therapies on platelet function in cats.
She enjoys all aspects of internal medicine from the diagnostic work up, including abdominal ultrasound and endoscopy, to the chronic management of autoimmune diseases, endocrinopathies, and enteropathies. She has developed a special interest in urogenital diseases including recurrent urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, and recurrent urolithiasis. She offers minimally invasive bladder stone removal options including voiding urohydropulsion and percutaneous cystolithotomy (PCCL).
She has been practicing internal medicine in the GTA since 2014 and joined the team at 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital to be able to practice high quality medicine a little closer to her family in East Gwillimbury. Outside of work she enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors hiking and kayaking with her husband and 2 dogs.
