Julie grew up on a farm just outside of Saskatoon where she quickly developed a passion for animals of all kinds. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts, Sociology & Psychology Honours Degree. After a quick stint in the social work field, she realized that she would much rather be working with pets and their people! She started her career in the veterinary industry by joining the All West family in 2008 and during her time there has taken on a variety of roles within the hospital. Since then, she has also taken in many sick, hurt and abandoned animals over the years including but not limited to ferrets, cats and dogs.
Outside of work, she devotes all of her spare time to her daughter who also loves working with animals. Julie enjoys swimming, gardening, camping, and fishing as well as watching horror movies. She has a special interest in companion animal nutrition and is a nutrition advisor at All West.
