Dr. Sofia Croppi was born and raised in Italy before spending seven years in the UK, where she earned a degree in Bioveterinary Science from Hartpury University and later qualified as a veterinarian at the University of Bristol. Driven by a long-standing desire to live in Canada, she relocated to Ottawa to pursue a career in Emergency Medicine. Her academic interests include One Health research and honeybee health, and she has published several articles on these topics. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, cycling, and reading historical fiction. A passionate equestrian, she takes every opportunity to ride and has done so in over twenty countries.
