Dr. Penni Murphy grew up in Australia and completed her Veterinary Science training at the University of Sydney. After working in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, she moved to Canada in 2007 and completed a rotating internship at the CARE Centre. Since then she has worked as an emergency veterinarian, general practitioner, and instructor for undergraduate DVM students at the University of Calgary. The radiology associate position gives her the opportunity to integrate primary care and specialty practice for pets and their local veterinarians.
Outside of work Penni enjoys running and being kept busy with her husband and three daughters. She loves to travel when possible, especially to her home country to visit family and friends. Here in Calgary her family shares their home with their English Setter, Striker, and their two elderly cats, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
