Dr. Ben Whelan graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2021. Before going to Veterinary school, he was a registered nurse for four years and worked on post-operative surgical floors. Since Graduating, Dr. Whelan has worked at the 24 hour emergency service at the Atlantic Veterinary College But made the switch to general practice when he joined VCA Crowfoot Animal Hospital.
Dr. Whelan is originally from Newfoundland but spent four years living in PEI with his partner Lindsey, their daughter Willa and his senior dog Granger. His interests outside of work include hanging out with family and friends, playing rugby and basketball, exercising and taking on small woodworking/ construction projects.
