Jill Madigan, Veterinarian
Dr. Jill Madigan is an Ottawa native and after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Ottawa, she moved to Guelph, ON to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. She studied at the Ontario Veterinary College, earning her degree in 2020. After completing her education, Dr. Madigan embarked on her professional journey in the fast-paced environment of Emergency Medicine at Alta Vista Animal Hospital, where she honed her skills under pressure. Driven by her desire to forge enduring relationships with both pets and their families, she then transitioned to General Practice. She is very excited to join the team at Pretoria Animal Hospital!
Dr. Madigan takes pride in providing comprehensive care to her furry patients, prioritizing their well-being and comfort during veterinary visits through the use of fear-free initiatives. Her commitment to enhancing the quality of life for senior pets shines through in her practice, as she has always had a soft spot for grey muzzles and whiskers. Beyond her work at the clinic, Dr. Madigan extends her expertise and empathy to in-home veterinary hospice care, offering comfort and support to pets and their families during challenging times. Her dedication to her profession is matched only by her love for her own animal companions—an affectionate cat named Cleocatra and a goofy but loveable dog named Ollie.
Outside of her veterinary endeavors, Dr. Madigan finds joy in exploring the great outdoors, whether it's through hiking trails or embarking on new travel adventures. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and spending quality time with loved ones
