Welcome to the VCA Canada Shawnessy South Animal Hospital!  The clinic has been open since 1987, offering quality veterinary medicine services to our surrounding communities. We are located in the far South East Community of Shawnessy, and we are centered between Millrise, Midnapore, Somerset, Bridlewood and Sundance.

We are a dog and cat practice with four full-time and three part-time Veterinarians and three registered Animal Health Technologists.  We are open seven days a week to assist you with your pet’s medical needs, be they routine wellness exams and vaccines, or with any medical concerns. Routine surgeries are performed Monday to Friday and 1 Sunday a month, including but not limited to spays, neuters, lumpectomies, and comprehensive oral health exams and cleanings with digital oral xrays.  Your pets are given the utmost attention in clinic, and our technician teams monitor blood pressure, oxygenation and vitals during all procedures, and pets receive IV fluids as well,  as we believe in a high standard of care for our patients.  We also have in-clinic and out clinic laboratory options, digital radiographs and ultrasound should they be needed.

Whether you are just coming in to grab a bag of food or if you are coming in with your pet needing critical care, we strive to give you the best service at any time of the day.
