Originally from Coquitlam, British Columbia, Alana moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2015 to pursue her dream of veterinary medicine. She graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Calgary in 2023. Alana spent her first year in practice at a primary and urgent care facility in Calgary. While she loved her time in Alberta, after 9 years in Calgary she decided it was time to move back to British Columbia to be closer to family. Luckily for her, her family decided to relocate to the beautiful Okanagan while she was away.
Alana’s special interests include soft tissue surgery, preventative care, and emergency medicine. In her free time, she enjoys various outdoor activities (hiking, biking, water sports, skiing), reading, and spending time with her husband and family. She has a little mixed breed dog named Dexter and two guinea pigs named Willa and Pippa.
Alana is super excited to join the team at Tri Lake in assisting both you and your beloved pets.
