Dr. Lauren Kempenaar is a 2023 graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in London, England, where they developed a special interest in emergency medicine at a local referral centre, the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals. Having grown up in Toronto, ON, they made the move to Kelowna to pursue emergency medicine full-time. They have an additional professional curiosity in wildlife conservation/rehabilitation medicine.
Lauren is excited to live in the Okanagan with all its outdoor attractions – hiking, water sports, and more. In their free time, they love board games, cosplay, fantasy writing, and snuggling their two troublesome kitties.
