Matthew is originally from Pickering Ontario. His interest in veterinary medicine began with working on a standardbred horse farm. Since then, he has spent time working with species of many other varieties including pigs, cows, birds of prey, and companion animals. He spent many years at the University of Guelph, where he obtained his BSc in biomedical science, Masters in Epidemiology, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees.

Matthew's areas of interest including emergency and critical care, geriatric patient management, and surgery.

When not at the 404, Matthew loves spending time working on his Japanese project cars, scuba diving, and spending time in nature.
