Krista Williams, Veterinarian

Dr. Williams was born & raised in Hamilton. Growing up, she spent most of her free time at local horse farms. She completed a degree in Biology at McMaster University before heading to Veterinary College. These years at McMaster gave her extra time to spend with her horses before heading off to Ontario Veterinary College. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2004, Dr. Williams spent three years sharing time with a small animal practice in New York and a mobile equine practice in Niagara. Both positions were equally challenging and rewarding, but she finally had to make a choice to focus on one or the other. Dr. Williams made the decision to move back to Hamilton to focus on small animals. She got the chance to work with some great pets and their owners who helped her to grow. Bay Cities Animal Hospital was lucky to have Dr. Krista Williams join their team in December 2016.

Dr. Williams has a special interest in internal medicine, and rehabilitation therapy as well as a love of cardiology brought about by working with some amazing cardiologists while at OVC. In her spare time, she keeps busy fixing up her old house, caring for her arthritic horse, Linus – and two fabulous cats, Barley and George.
