Calgary Trail Animal Hospital

VCA Canada Calgary Trail Animal Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional pet care with a personal touch, and the convenience of a full-service animal hospital in South Edmonton. Since 1999, we have been a trusted source of veterinary care for the pet owners and pets of Edmonton, South Edmonton, Beaumont, Sherwood Park, and Leduc.

When you walk through the doors of Calgary Trail Animal Hospital, we want you to feel welcomed in as a part of a family of pet owners and their pets, and the veterinarians and staff who take the time to get to know you. Whether you’re coming from Edmonton or one of the surrounding communities, our focus is on giving pet owners the sense that we are here for them—conveniently located and customer service-focused.  As a close-knit family of veterinary professionals, we also emphasize teamwork among our staff, consulting with each other to provide treatment options and an approach to your pet’s well-being. When a health issue arises that is beyond our scope of experience, we will confer with our community of specialists and associates to give you the most advantageous treatment options available.

Whether you’re seeking a nutritional consultation for your senior dog, vaccinations or spay/neuter surgery for that cute new kitten, or soft tissue surgery for your house rabbit, we have the capacity and expertise to provide a plethora of pet care services under one roof. For many of our pet families, finding an animal hospital that is capable of addressing a spectrum of pet health needs (and for so many kinds of pets) can be a challenge. That is why we aspire to be a leader in veterinary medicine. We offer our clients a spacious, modern veterinary hospital, highly-skilled veterinarians, and our continued drive to provide the best quality of care for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and many other pocket and exotic pets.

We place emphasis on community service, striving to help the homeless, stray, and injured pets of the Edmonton region by working with several rescues and non-profits. We are AAHA Accredited and were awarded the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Hospital of the Year Award in 2013. We are committed to providing the standard of excellence that is exemplified by this award every day and in all of our interactions and services.

If you’re seeking a progressive veterinary clinic with a family-like approach to compassionate, personal care—and in a comfortable, modern facility—we invite you to come get to know us by scheduling a tour and meeting some of our veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honour.
