Veterinarian
DVM
Erika was born and raised in Lloydminster, right along the Saskatchewan border. Growing up, she spent a lot of time alongside her father, who was a DVM, and would often tag along while he worked on ranches with cattle. These early experiences sparked her interest and love for veterinary medicine.
Erika attended the University of Saskatchewan in 2014, initially pursuing a degree in Agriculture before being accepted into the veterinary medicine program in 2016. She graduated with her DVM in 2020 and began her career at a mixed animal practice in Fort Macleod. She also continued to travel home to work alongside her father, primarily with commercial cow/calf operations. Over the years, Erika has worked in practices throughout Alberta and Manitoba, including Claresholm, Fort Macleod, Calgary, Bragg Creek and Winnipeg. She has been working as a locum veterinarian for the past two years and has become a familiar and valued part of the Green Acres team.
Outside of the clinic, Erika enjoys hiking, kayaking, travelling and gardening. She shares her adventures with her two Border Collies, Holly, who is 6 years old, and Pip, her energetic 9-month-old puppy.
