Blood Donor Program

Transfusion medicine is used throughout the veterinary community to treat a variety of conditions for our patients. Our program was established in 2010 to help supply the growing need locally of these products to help save lives. 

 If your hospital is in need of canine blood products, please reach out to our ICU department directly for unit availability. 

The following are products supplied in our blood bank

  • Canine Packed Red Cells (DEA + and DEA -)
  • Canine Fresh Frozen Plasma
  • Canine Cryoprecipitate Concentrate 
  • Canine Platelet Concentrate
  • Feline Packed Red Cells and Fresh Frozen Plasma
