Veterinarian
DVM
Dr. Adam Lichtensteiger grew up in Lynn Valley, attending Westover Elementary and Argyle Secondary. He spent his childhood exploring the mountains, sailing the coast, and playing a variety of organized sports. After high school, he traveled through South America for eight months before returning home to complete a Bachelor of Science at UBC.
Adam’s love of adventure and animals led him to spend a year living on an outback cattle ranch in Australia and volunteering with canine and wildlife rescue groups in Thailand. He later moved to Saskatoon, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.
Following graduation, Adam and his wife moved to Hawaii, where he worked for two years in a busy emergency clinic and spent another two years managing a smaller general practice. With the arrival of their son, they felt it was time to return to their roots and be closer to family.
Now back in Lynn Valley, Adam is excited to care for the pets and families in the community that shaped him and looks forward to many years of connection and service.
