Chris Jordan, Specialist Small Animal Surgery

BSc(Hons), BVetMed, DECVS, MRCVS

As a specialist in small animal surgery, Dr. Christopher Jordan provides a broad range of diagnostic and surgical procedures including orthopedic (i.e. TPLO), neurologic and soft tissue surgical services Monday through Thursday.

Dr. Jordan graduated from The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London, England in 2008. Following graduation, he spent two years in a primary care small animal practice which he thoroughly enjoyed. Dr. Jordan then returned to The RVC where he undertook a rotating internship in the internationally renowned Queen Mother Hospital for Animals - this covered all aspects of small animal referral medicine and surgery and lead to him being awarded a role with the surgery service. During his time at The RVC, Dr. Jordan increased his exposure to referral surgical cases; assisted with undergraduate training and contributed to cutting edge orthopedic and musculoskeletal science research aimed at encouraging improved translation of clinical techniques between human and veterinary surgery.

In 2012, Dr. Jordan moved to Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in Winchester, England to complete his surgical training as a European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) Resident in small animal surgery, ultimately leading to him becoming an ECVS Diplomate. During his training, Dr. Jordan undertook numerous externships in Europe and North America.

Dr. Jordan spent the past two years at Fitzpatrick Referrals in England which has an extremely high surgical case load and has an international reputation for excellence and innovation in small animal surgery. Whilst at Fitzpatrick Referrals, he gained exposure to a high number of routine, complex and tertiary referral surgical cases along with having access to some of the most advanced surgical equipment and procedures currently available.

Dr. Jordan is extremely enthusiastic about all aspects of small animal surgery but when pushed, he expresses a particular interest in traumatology, fracture stabilisation and stifle disease.

Dr. Jordan meets with all his patients to fully assess their condition and he will discuss their treatment plan and aftercare in detail with you.
