Jessica A., Registered Veterinary Technologist
Jessica has always exhibited a strong love for animals, and an interest in biology. These factors sent her on a path to the Technician program. She graduated from Thompson Rivers University in 2019, and has since enjoyed meeting all kinds of animals and clients. Jessica has an interest in behaviour, and she enjoys the laboratory aspect of her job- from taking blood to placing IV catheters and everything in between. Jessica enjoys implementing a "Fear Free" approach to all of her patients, preferring to read their body language and approach each patient according to their needs to ensure they have the most enjoyable experience possible while in the hospital.
When she's not at work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, two cats (Eros and Athena) and her bearded dragon, Kai. To relax she reads, writes, draws, gardens, and makes jams, pickles and preserves.
Jessica has been with VCA since 2016, and has enjoyed working with the Riverbend team since 2020.
